Known as the Heart of the Bonanza Valley, Brooten is a community made up mostly of people of Scandinavian and German descent.      

Brooten is a city rich in tradition and has plenty to offer.    Brooten offers housing at affordable prices for families and is a good place to locate a business.   The workforce in this area is second to none when it comes to good work ethics.  Brooten also is home to a modern airport, with a newly paved 3500' runway for your business and pleasure flying needs.

A ten unit motel was built in 2003 to accommodate business, family and other visitors.  A new 8-unit motel is being built in 2006 that will house a swimming pool, exercise room and laundry.
